Requesting a Refund for an App Store Purchase (iPhone Users)

Modified on Tue, May 20 at 10:59 AM

If you made a purchase through the Apple App Store and would like to request a refund, we’re here to help you through the process.

All iOS purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds must be requested directly through their system.

How to Request a Refund from Apple

  1. Go to Apple’s Report a Problem Page

    Visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

  2. Sign In

Use your Apple ID (the one you used to make the purchase).

  3. Find Your Purchase

Browse the list of recent purchases and locate the item you want a refund for.

  4. Request the Refund

    • Click “Report a Problem” next to the item.

    • Choose a reason that best fits your situation (e.g., “I didn’t mean to buy this” or “App isn’t working as expected”).

    • Follow the on-screen instructions to submit your request.

⏳ What Happens Next?

Apple usually reviews refund requests within 24–48 hours. If approved, your refund will be processed back to your original payment method. Depending on your bank, it may take a few extra days to appear.
