Requesting a Refund for a Google Play Purchase (Android Users)

Modified on Tue, May 20 at 10:57 AM

If you made a purchase through Google Play and would like to request a refund, we’re here to help guide you through the process.

Because Google manages all payments for Android purchases, refund requests must be submitted directly to them.

How to Request a Refund from Google Play

  1. Go to Google’s Refund Portal

    Visit play.google.com/store/account.

  2. Sign In

Log in using the Google account that was used for the purchase.

  3. Find Your Order

Scroll down to the Order History section and locate the item you want to refund.

  4. Request the Refund

    • Click the three-dot menu next to the order.

    • Select “Report a problem.”

    • Choose the option that best describes your reason (e.g., “I purchased this by accident” or “Item isn’t working”).

    • Follow the on-screen steps to complete your request.

⏳ What Happens Next?

Google typically reviews refund requests within 48 hours. If your request is approved, the refund will be processed to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or card provider, it may take a few additional days to appear.
