What are Essential Dignities and how do I view them in Mac?

The essential dignities are a traditional technique that have survived in modern practice as the terms rulership, exaltation, detriment, and fall.  Each planet has a sign or signs that it rules.  In the opposite sign, you will find that same planet's detriment; similarly for exaltation and (in the opposite sign) for fall.

You can find these described in TimePassages (Mac) for a particular chart under consideration by looking in:  

1. Display menu in the toolbar
2. scroll down to Reports
3. click on Rulerships and Exaltations
