It's not a problem as long as the -3.0 time zone is the desired result. This can be expressed as +3.0 in geography speak. It is -3.0 for astrology.
Sometimes the time zone boundary might have changed and sometimes daylight time might apply, and those are the issues that affect the accuracy of the chart.
So if you're confused about BAT time zones, check the number and not the letters. As long as you are getting the required -3.0 time zone for Madagascar and the correct daylight time determination, the chart will be accurate.
We cannot keep up with all the local 3- or 4-letter designations for that same result.
