New Features & Improvements

  • TimePassages is Now a Universal App!

    • The TimePassages app now runs natively on both Intel and Apple M-series chips (M1, M2, M3, etc.).

    • No need for Rosetta! This update also resolves certain startup crashes on Apple Silicon devices.

  • North and South Node Interpretations

    • We added aspect interpretations in natal charts for planets with the Lunar Nodes.

  • Easier Single Planet Aspect Selection

    • Cmd-Click on a planet now directly activates Single Planet Aspect mode, highlighting aspects to only that planet.

    • As previously, this feature is also available under Display > Single Planet Aspects, which puts the Single Planet feature into hover mode.

    • Hover mode lets you move the mouse over different planets until left-clicking locks in your selection.

  • New Half-Day Animation Step

    • A new animation step allows you to move half a day forward or back, flipping AM or PM to reverse if using a 12-hour clock; in other words, adds or subtracts 12 hours.

    • Shortcut: Cmd-3 or Opt-Cmd-3

  • Automatic Software Update Notifications

    • The software now automatically checks for updates on startup. You can also manually check for updates in the TimePassages menu.

  • Moon Phase Report Added

    • Moon Phase report is now available under Display > Reports, providing deeper insights into this particular entail chart.

  • Updated Online Manual

    • The Help > Online Manual now correctly directs users to the latest online version instead of a local file.

    • The Desktop Manual 2025 has been added for reference.

  • New Font for Clearer Astrology Symbols

    • The new TimePassages font is now the default, replacing CelesteAG. This improves the clarity of astrology symbols across the software.

  • New Chart Color Options

    • new color palette has been introduced with an option to use muted chart colors for a softer look.

  • Improved Aspect Descriptions

    • The Aspect Orbs dialog clarifies that “inconjunct” referencing the 150-degree aspect can also be termed “quincunx”.

  • Aspect glyphs have been adjusted without color to stand out better from aspect lines.

Fixes & Enhancements

  • Improved Default Location Behavior

    • The Default Location in Settings is now automatically applied to Solar, Lunar, and Planetary Return Charts, as well as Progressed Charts.

  • Corrected Intercepted Sign Labels

    • When “Rimmed Sign on House Labels” is disabled, intercepted signs now display correctly.

  • Fixed Element & Mode Scores

    • Corrected calculations for non-quadrant house systems.

  • Clearer Error Message for Demo Mode Charts

    • If you try to open a chart in Demo Mode, the message now clearly explains that only Sample Charts can be opened.

  • Better Update Download Guidance

    • When clicking Download Now, a helpful message now guides users on where to find the downloaded file.

  • Fixed “Save Graphic” Feature

    • The Save Graphic function now properly captures the entire chart.

  • Improved Bi-wheel Proportions

    • The center area of bi-wheels is larger for better aspect line visibility.

  • Improved Spacing of chart circles, glyphs, and position text

    • Adjusted spacing of circles for all Display Options for better readability.

  • Improved Single Planet Aspect Controls

    • Cmd-Click now properly toggles single planet aspects on and off. No second click is required.

  • Improved Aspect Options Response

    • Changes made in the Aspect Options menu now immediately reflect in the displayed chart.

  • Astro Clock Time Fix

    • The Astro Clock was previously off by one minute—this has been corrected.

  • Fixed Daylight Savings Time Errors

    • Hong Kong (1987 on) and Baghdad (1990s) now correctly apply DST rules.

  • Fixed Planet Glyph Collisions

    • In certain situations there were glyph collisions — now corrected.

  • Gaza City Now Listed Correctly

    • The city was previously listed as Ghazzah in the Atlas — it is now added as a city under Palestine.

  • Fixed Rounding Error in House Minutes

    • House minutes were being rounded up — this has been corrected.
